Does anyone know how to make ntg2.5 work without install in car
Need to powerup for display ..

Hi

It will power up when wired up with power on the normal power lines, but will turn off again after 20 mins unless it sees an ignition signal over it's CANbus.

You can get a CANbus simulator for COMAND 2.0 systems, which should generate the correct ignition signal, so hook that into the CANbus !

Will do the job if you deconstruct it a bit !! (W163 car loom has no canbus but has discrete ignition, speed, lights signal, and that puts it on CANbus for a W210 unit plugged into a W163)

Once you've done that you can put it in DEMO mode using the Engineering Menu (hold phone-hangup, *, 6 for a few seconds) and select Application and then Navigation - its somewhere in there
