Default Install navigation processor on SLK R171

    Dear gurus:

I'm upgrading an SLKR171 2006 from audio50APS with HK to Comand APS. The comand was installed without problems but I have a doubt about connecting the navigation processor. The only fiber optic cabling I see in the trunk are those going to the telephone module. Can I use those cables to add the navigation processor to optical fiber ring?

    Thanks.

Yes you may extend the optical system. You need to select a suitable length fibre for installation and also purchase a joiner.

If you tell me the length you need then I might be able to suggest an ordering solution for the fibres.

How much could cost 2 fiber optic cables of 80 ctms each, 1 fiber optic joiner and power cable?

    Order this: -

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: W211/W219 (E/CLS) Navigation Drive Wiring Kit (NTG1)

It has two fibres (one is long, as the distance between the previous component and the Nav processor musnt be too short) , joiner, and the power lead used in a W211 which you can modify easily enough for the SLK
