Hi, I have purchased and installed the OEM illuminated doorsills for a C300 W204.
The install of the wiring and doorsills itself went very well but I am puzzled how to get them hooked up to the fusebox. my car does not have the interior fusebox so I had to feed the cable through to the fusebox in the engine compartment and that is where I am stuck. The cable coming from the doorsill harness has a fuse holder that is supposed to be inserted into the fusebox but I cant figure out how that can be done. The instructions state the following: "10.1 Remove front SAM control unit with fuse and Only on vehicles without interior fuse relay module (N10/1) box (F34). Do not disconnect electrical connectors.Model 204.0 /2 AR54.21-P-1260CW" Anybody that can help? |

That fuse carrier is designed to clip into a 'extra fuse' slot on the fusebox, if you look at the fusebox you can see if there is a row of small slots and it will plug in.
Ive only ever connected them to the fusebox at end of dashboard i'm afraid though R |

Further information:
On cars without the interior fusebox, you must do the following: - Cut off the fusehoder and put a SLK2.8 x 0.8mm connector on instead Remove orange coloured C11 connector block from the front fusebox and install the connector/wire above into chamber 6 and plug back in again. The female SLK2.8 connector is A0134 545 15 26 I don't know the part number for the male version of that, and don't know for sure whether you need the male or female. On W164 those contacts are female. Richard |
