Thread: Help!!! [D2B comand retrofit, no CDC]

I have an 02 C240, I installed a 01 comand 2.0 navi system. I used the retrofit wire harness I got from mbdoctor. I hooked up everything and it's working, except the comand screen is saying No CD changer. It's Getting power because I can load the 6 disc magazine. I have two blue wire's with a black stripe and no connector on them. My problem is I don't know where they go. I did see on the right side floor panel and door sill the same type blue wire's with the black stripe and they were together in a box type connector. Can anybody tell me where to connect these loose wire's ? Is this the problem ? Or is it fiber optic's. Help......Please.......I'm stuck, I don't want to mess up, if I can get my CD changer to play... I'm happy.

You need SLK connectors, orderable from Mercedes, and to crimp them onto the wire and then push them into the common block.

All blue wires with black stripe in that model car need to be joined together.

If the MB dealer goes "whats a SLK connector", or presents you with a box of the metal contacts and says "pick whichever is a SLK" then ask him to get you a couple of A035 545 96 28, which are SLK2.8 female contacts 0.25->0.5mm2
