Thread: comand software help [W212]

Hi -

My name is Jack. I'm in Los Angeles. I have a 2011 e350 w212.

I have been having an issue with streaming bluetooth audio dropping the connection when i turn off the vehicle, and not being able to re-pair on its own when the vehicle is started.


Long story short, I searched the web, and found the solution, seemingly to update the Comand firmware From SW Version to 0009026706-001

Unfortunately my dealer/ shop foreman claims he doesn't understand what that number is??

He said my vehicle had software version 9/10 and he updated it to the latest version he found, 9/27.

Can you make heads or tails of this?

bottom line the issue still exists, and i am certain we are not at the correct software version... particularly because my bluetooth audio menu does NOT have a volume submenu, as is indicated in the manual and as others who have solved this problem state they now have.

Telematics disks (update disks) are supplied with the Star Diagnosis monthly disks. Different disks come at different times (i.e when there is an update)

They are marked with the release they came with (such as 02/2011) (i.e Feb 2011)

I am pretty sure the latest W212 update was earlier this year, so it looks like he has found a rather old set and he should look for a newer version.

BUT, USA releases are different to European ones, so I don't know what the latest firmware release for USA W212 is ..

Is there a different workshop you could use ?
