Default Unable to update firmware with Developer Xentry DAS

I retrofitted an NTG 2.5 to my 2007 ML successfully.
I wish to update the map to the 2010 map and thus wish to update the firmware on the COMAND.
When I try to upgrade firmware, I get this error message.
Any suggestion of how to proceed would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

You can not use Developer mode to update NTG2.5

You need (a) the update firmware disks, only supplied to Mercedes dealers with their Star Diagnosis release (b) and online Mercedes SDFLASH account

What you need to do is to get a MB dealer to do it. Ask them to update the firmware, but warn them the SCN coding stage will fail and they can ignore it - you will then have to hand code again using DAS to change anything that broke in the coding and set settings for any new features (such as ECO mode routing, Fader ..)

    Thanks
The firmware update disk of 01/2010 I have
I see that as you said the update menu is in the standard menu mot te develoeremu, but do I have to go online to update it? Why does it try to connect online when scn coding is not going to work?

Because Mercedes don't accept it is possible to retrofit NTG2.5 in an older car (which is why SCN coding fails since it can't generate a SCN string for a car before MY2009) - I guess they want you to buy a new car !!!

I assume they also only want genuine Star Diagnosis owners (with a contract for the monthly updates) to be able to do this ..
