Thread: Upload North American Maps into ECE COMAND Unit

I have a 2011 c300 in Canada currently with a COMAND unit that does Bluetooth and has a 6CD player. Screen is the 5 inch display.

I have done the reseach on how to retrofit, however, I am stuck because I am told that the Head unit I have will not work in North America. The unit I have is the ECE COMAND unit -W204 870 48 94.

Any one know if loading Canadian Maps is even possible? If not i guess I'm posting this back onto ebay.

If and only if the unit can be recoded into USA mode then it may work. Otherwise no.

You would be better off getting a north american unit. recoding these to/from ECE has yet to be achieved. I have even enquired with the manufactirer of the unis and they say no aswell!
