Unhappy Blackberry 8900 - lost contacts downloaded to COMAND

I have a 2009 ML 350 with COMAND. I use a Blackberry 8900 for work and had downloaded the contacts to COMAND. It was great to be able to select phone numbers for my calls from the menu display behind the steering wheel and not have to fumble and look away to dial.

I don't know exactly when, and sure don't know how, but the contacts disappeared from the car. I have tried repeatedly to reload them and while I do not get any error messages, nothing downloads except the Blackberry's phone number. I have un-paired and re-paired the devices, rebooted my blackberry, etc etc. Still no contacts.

Any idea what happened and how I might fix it?

There is possibly an entry in the phonebook with non alpha-numeric characters that is causing the problem.

I'd also ensure that the firmware in your COMAND is up to date by visiting the MB dealer and that is one of the areas that new firmware updates tends to address...

Talking I bow to your GURU status...

... as you were absolutely correct! It was some whacky characters that our corp contact system uploaded into some of the blackberry records. While they were in the email field, I went ahead and corrected them anyway and it worked!

    You are my hero.

    Thank you!!!
