Default Nav totally confused.. [cls w219]

I have a 2005 CLS with the HK audio system and Comand DVD system with gateway in the boot.

2 days ago nav suddenly stopped working properly and failed to display correct position or orientation. Tried to do a reset from normal menus but still does not work - could this be an antennae fault? Everything else seems to be OK.

Is there a way of displaying the number of satellites on my system and how would I get to the diagnostic menu if I need to look at faults?

    Thanks

This does sound like gps antenna, or possibly failing nav drive.

Press map, then press a soft key, press display soft key then you can set the display to show location instead of eta. That will show you amount of satellites

Holding down NAV and 5 keys together when map is showing may give you some diagnostic info. Hold for about 10 seconds

Get the map display on the screen then select MAP- > display -> current location.

At the bottom of the screen it will show the number of satellites. If it is '-' then the antenna is almost certainly faulty. If it shows '0' then the antenna simply cant see any satellites.

90% of these problems are the antenna.
