Thread: Comand ntg4 / [NTG4.5 ???]

What is the difference for ntg4 and ntg4.5 ??
Or people just try to confuse us here ??

There is no NTG4.5 yet however, I do notice some part number changes for NTG4-W204 for MY2012 - so maybe there is a technology refresh happening or they are calling the new SLK (172) and MY2012 version NTG4.5

I thinkfor MY2012 they are changing the screen on W204 to be like W212 (i.e no longer opening) - it makes sense from a cost and reliablity point of view - but no info yet apart from what is in EPCnet, and the part number for the MY2010 W204 display is a A172 part number (which from the W172 (new SLK) pictures the screen is fixed).

NTG4 (used in W204 C/GLK, R197 SLS)
NTG4-W212 (used in W207/W212 E)

I now have confirmation that the systems fitted from the W204 facelift for MY2012 are officially called NTG4.5

This includes a new "COMAND Online" facility, and a nice optional plug in navigation system made by becker (sort of like Navigation-20 but all cars pre-wired and the nav just plugs in in the glovebox, and you can remove it, and it will be £495 in UK) which is called "MAP PILOT". And 7 digit UK postcode for COMAND !!
