    Default Comand Service Menu Access

    Hi Richard,

I am trying to access the Service menu on Comand for my W211 WDB2110222A898697.

Comand is NTG2 (Monochrome) Audio 50 APS with Harmon Kardon.

Current disc is Europe CD2. (believed to be the original one)
    Numbers on disc:-
    Audio50 APS version 3
    A211 827 61 59
    B6 782 3387
    1644.432

Research indicates suggests that menu access was terminated on Version 6.1
in early 2006. My car was built on 21/10/05.

Therefore I assume that I should still have access ?

The FM mute+1+3 does not work. I have tried various methods without success.

Do you know what my access method should be please ?

    Regards,
    Blackwind

I do not know of a service menu for Audio-50-APS.

My recollection is that the service menu is still there on COMAND, but not the submenu (engineering menu) that would allow you to change vehicle in motion etc etc settings.

You could try holding NAV and 5 keys together. that seems to do stuff on many units to do with Navigation.

What are you actually trying to acheive ?

    Thank you.

I am trying to establish if it has the Nav update to include ETA.
I tried your NAV+5 key simultaneously (Position1 on key switch) but no joy.

I have also lost the ability to measure my engine oil level on the cluster.
(I do have a dipstick but my wife [main driver] prefers the electronic method)

I follow the handbook method (Key postion 1.with temp (etc) selected & 3 quick presses on lefthand knurled knob.
Then go to postion 2 & wait for measurement to appear but it fails to show.

I can call up the voltage battery voltage reading (Key postion 1, three quick presses knurled knob.
When this appears I can then press the "Up" button on (Left Hand) side of steering wheel which produces following info:
    Instr.sw 2605
    Version 0095
    Inst.HW 2805
    Instr.No A211 540 2848.

Pressing "Up" button again produces next service info.
That being the sum total of any available sub menus.

Does any of that help at all?

    Systems are completely different.

The 'ETA' is a COMAND update thing and not an Audio-50 update thing.

The cluster needs 're-coding' to enable missing menus, but i'm not sure why you'd lose the menu unless MB upgraded the firmware or reconfigured the cluster or you had a new cluster

    Apologies.
I have conducted research in various forums & become
    confused.

I was under the impression that Comand Navigation & Audio 50 APS
    were integrated.

Despite all advice I am unable to access the Service Menu for Comand but I intend to keep trying.

Many thanks for the advice on the Cluster Menu. I will ask MB to recode it.

    Very kind of you,

    Blackwind.

As you can now see, they are completely different systems ...
