    Default defective comand [w209 clk]

Hi all, i am new to MB GURU and to merc ownership and i need your collective wisdom and inside knowledge. I recently purchased a W209 CLK 240 designo unfortunately the factory fitted CD changer developed a fault. initially got it fixed by a local merc specialist mechanic but when it was refitted it appears to have blown something in the back of the comand unit to the effect that i have no sound at all from it. My question is, is there anywhere i can send the CD changer and comand unit for repair rather then having to spend thousands on replacement units? thank u. Steve

Does your car have the BOSE digital sound system ?

If so the amplifier is on the fibre optic loop so any broken device will result in no sound.

So if you didnt plug in the fibre or the power into the CDC, the loop is incomplete, and you get no sound - or if the CDC is broken ..
