Thread: Japnese command unit on USA MCS II command

I have question about retro fitting japanese command to US 07 R350 with MCS II unit.
Is it possible to replace head unit with japanese command unit.
If so what needs to be replaced and what modificationa are required?

The Japanese system is completely different to Rest-of-World, changing from Japanese cars (as Benzmodz on this forum has done) is a major job (as all wiring looms change) and thus so would be doing the opposite.

What do you miss from the Japanese system with MCS-II ?

Im relocating from US to Japan and Im shipping my car with me. I wanted to see if it was possible to update to Japanese spec as much as possible and I wanted to see if it was possible to plug in JP command unit. I guess I have to settle with aftermarket nav system if the wiring needs to be redone...
Do you know if meter cluster is replacable with kmh unit? I have keyless go and heard somewhere that if I have keyless go its not easy to swap out speedo cluster...
