Hi

I have a old Aps 20 with casette and 6 CD hanger below.

I would like to buy a Command 2,5 NTG, what do I need to buy beside the Comand. (cable+micro+antenna)???

Because you have the Audio-20-Casette system (I am presuming this is a W211 E class !!) the amplifer/tuner & and thus speaker & antenna wiring is in the AGW in the boot. Thus you need an adapter loom to bring the wiring from there to the front of the car.

You also need
a) GPS antenna
b) microphone (assuming no phone system in car already)
c) bluetooth antenna

I know they are about to list the adapter loom you need, so you should see that there ver shortly as "Audio-20-Casette/Audio-50-APS -> Comand NTG2.5 converter loom set" maybe as two listings, one for cars with phone, one for cars without

They also have a slightly different version for cars that have a phone system already (as no microphone is needed and a lead to connect to the existing microphones is needed instead.

Hi.

I have installed a 2,5 NTG in my 2003 E220/model 211 with AGW in trunk. All wires are now connected but the radio says "Stolen security locked" contact Mercedes dealer. That I have done, but the tell med that the have to put the Command in a CLS for braking the lock, after that they tell med that it will work. Big problem is that there are not many CLS in DK. Can onyone hep me??

I have never seen that (because I have only installed brand new units)

I suspect if you can find a Mercedes independent with Star Diagnosis (and factory mode) they can re-code it ...

Can you post in this thread a picture of it showing the message ?

Enclosed find the picture. I will like to add that the Command worked fine except for the steering wheel and the instrument in the car, until I connected the wires to the CANBUS system. Then the picture showed up, and nothing works still after disconnecting the CANBUS.

Enclosed picture of the screen. I would like to add that the unit worked fine after installing until I connected the CANBUS. Then the message came and the unit was locked. I have disconnected the CANBUS but it didn´t help. It is still locked.

There is a coding internally to tell it what model car it is in - I suspect if that is wrong, then you get this message. BUT I have never seen the message myself.

The coding is done with Star Diagnosis - you need one with the factory mode enabled, or this months factory password - to change the settings, because normally the unit is SCN coded (and as its a retrofit, a SCN code can not be generated). So you have to find an independant that knows about the factory mode. I can suggest ones in England, Holland, USA and Australia if you PM me
