    Default Nokia 6310i on Mercedes S400CDI, 2001

My Nokia 6310i is not recognised by my Mercedes S400CDI, Year 2001.
My car is equipped with a Piker cradle OEM#A 203 820 01 51 built with the car.
Such cradle is supposed to receive Nokia 6210 or Nokia 6310i.

I bought this car without Phone. Then I bought a used mobile phone Nokia 6310i (which works perfectly in hands). It is not recognized by the car.
Messages: either "phone disconnected" either "phone will connect" (but it does not!)

    What should I do, please?

    Thanks

It is likely (given car is 2001) that the phone controller in the car can only support 6210 and not 6310i

Why dont you use this device - it gives you Bluetooth !

(Plugs into cradle, car thinks it has a Nokia 6210 and it bluetooths (with address transfer capability (auto or manual, phone dependant))

    Cheers

Thank you Richard for answering. In spite that Mercedes Benz says 6210 OR 6310i, you are probably right, it seems that other users also got problems. I will get soon a 6210 and will try!

For your info, the link you gave me does exist anymore (at least this is the message I got) .
