W209 mp3 enabling [North American MCS-II]

Hi,
I have a 2005 clk320 (US) with facelifted console, comand and cd changer. My car said that it was mp3 compatible on the options list, however neither the comand nor the cd changer will read mp3 discs (even with just one song on them). Is there any way to enable the car to play mp3 disks?

Being in North America your car has the "MCS-II" system in it.

There is a firmware update for that which your dealer should be able to install - hopefully tha will make it play MP-3 for you.

I dont think the CD changers were MP3 capable in your model
