I am looking to set up a wifi hotspot for the passengers. Would like to connect my wireless broadband modem to the vehicle's antenna. Can anyone suggest how to do this?
I don't want to use the MB branded hotspot equipment because of the following limitations: - only 3 wifi devices - slow modem - the Sierra Wireless Air Card I wish to use is much faster. I have the Bluetooth cradle already - ideally I would connect the modem to the antenna while leaving the bluetooth cradle operational (for the driver's regular phone). If only possible without the BT remaining operational, maybe there's a generic "cradle" for phones that don't have a specific cradle manufactured where one may connect a phone to the antenna? Any crazy ideas welcome. |

In car hot spot kit from Mercedes for ML class (same as R basically!!) contains
A212 901 6202 Control unit, InCar Hotspot; A212 820 8889 Aerial splitter; B6 782 4100 Electric wiring harness; A212 820 9013 Aerial cable; B6 782 4101 Mount for InCar Hotspot; Operating instructions, licence agreement, small parts I suggest you need the Aerial splitter and probably the Aerial cable Richard |
