It sounds like I have the opposite problem than most other on the site.
I have a ML 320 CDI 2008 with the IPOD kit installed. I also have the rear entertainment package, which means no AUX jack. It has the COMMAND system. How do I connect my droid phone that has a 3.5 mm audio jack to my system? I do have phone paired with the COMMAND system, and it works perfectly as a phone, but I would like to play music over the car's sound system. I found an IPOD to 3.5 mm jack converter on Amazon, but it looks like Mercedes COMMAND does not recognize it based on the user comments. In Europe with RSE you still get an AUX jack - there is an extra 'Rear' menu that appears on the Audio screen. However if you are in North America, you get MCS-II there and I don't know if that has 2 inputs
