What would be the part number for the map disk needed for the NTG 2.5 I ordered, and would a travelpilot disk work, also it says I would need the star box to configure the NTG 2.5, so really is a self install out of the question.

There is a "handmade version" using W204 lid harness, W164 modulator and W164 body harness.

Map dvd set is here: Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: Mercedes Navigation Disks :: Comand APS Map 2009/2010 for Hard Disk COMAND NTG2.5 in A B CLC W211-E CLS SL SLK ML GL R Sprinter Vito Viano

Travelpilot disk wont work i'm afraid. Star Diagnosis is needed to activate the system once in the car - any dealer can do that by telling Star it is a W245 car and doing initial startup (and typing in the correct chassis number when it works) - this will enable the unit properly, record the PIN but will fail to SCN code (configure) the unit as it won't understand that your car can have COMAND. (Unless of course it is a MY2009 car then it is easy enough)

Some suppliers may be able to configure (but not activate) the system before shipping you a unit. New units definetly need to be configured.
