Hi All
Can anyone tell me if i can swap my old non bluetooth Comand head unit for the latest MERCEDES ML 164 AUDIO 20 CD. NEW. PART NUMBER A 164 870 58 94 MODEL MF2840 And if i do, will the bluetooth work without buying the bluetooth bit that fits in the centre armrest where the old nokia kit goes? My ML is a 2006 320 CDi Sport. |

Yes, but you need
a) to rewire the antenna power b) Add a bluetooth antenna c) Link to the existing microphones d) a way of splitting the antenna to the 2 antenna ports e) re-wire the AUX lead or iPod lead if you have that There is a kit to do this Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: W164 ML/GL & W251 R :: A/B/CLC/ML/GL/R COMAND NTG2.5 (Hard Disk) retrofit kit - cars with phone. Any existing phone, CD changer, TV system, Harmon Kardon sound system or Rear Seat entertainment (ML/GL/R) wont work with the new NTG2.5 systems. In your case it's an Audio-20 so couldnt support TV/RSE in anycase. R |

Pls also note that the bluetooth bit for the existing phone system is under £200.
Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: ViseeO MB-2 (formerly MBU2000) UHI Bluetooth for Mercedes Benz So probably cheaper/easier just to buy that unless you have a very cheap source of the new units. R |
