Hi all,
I have an late model audio 20 - the one with integrated bluetooth. It works fine but doesn't pick up the phone book from my phone. The phone is an android OS HTC Hero. Any ideas? ![]() Cheers, Phil |

Some of these more high tech phones have an extra step. Do a contact request from the head unit and then a contact send from the phone. Either or both of these steps may be needed.

Sadly, Android doesn't seem to transfer address book to many cars
I'm pretty sure this is because Android doesnt have support for the extensions to the "HFP" profile needed to send address book, caller lists etc, or because it is just not as "compatible" as it should be. Android (V2.0 - I don't know if that is on the Hero) and newer Symbian based Nokia phones (amongst others) used PBAP for address book transfer, and many Bluetooth systems (including the original mercedes HFP cradle) do not support PBAP. Sorry, that doesn't solve your problem though. I'd keep upgrading the ROM on your Hero and hope that one of the releases adds the functionality. |

If you have the comfort phone system in your armrest you may need an additional attachment.

Thanks Gurus, helpful and informative replies as ever.
Android has been a bit of a dissapointment on many levels. Sync with the PC is a hit and miss affair, there is no voice dial and now this too, Couple of month off an upgrade, so I'll have to bide my time. Thanks again, Phil |
