Hi Greetings from Australia ...just picked up a 2008 SLK and love it. I think I have the Command 2.5 so was looking to find out where I get the updates from - currently using my trusty garmin as the built in is not much fun, but then again not really played with it since the garmin was the only thing I had recently. Any thoughts on this - worth upgrading and if so where would I get it from ?

I did try to look for the hidden menus so will try that at least the DVD if I can turn off the restrictions. For the missus to watch whilst were travelling.

Are you saying that you have the Mercedes Navigation in the NTG 2.5 but prefer the Garmin or are you saying that you want to have the NTG 2.5 and need to know more about it.

There are no distraction controls which can be set from the hidden menus or the diagnostic.

Sorry I have in car Nav 2.5, but I find my garmin more friendly. I was asking if it was worth updating and if so where I can get this from Australia. As for the hidden menus no distracation contols .....3rd party tinkering I guess ?
