Default "phone not installed" [retrofit Teleaid]

I just picked up a 2003 E500 without the factory phone activated. I would like to retrofit the Teleaid system. Is this possible? Where can I find all necessary hardware including a Bluetooth adapter is possible. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I guess it is possible, but you are talking $$1000s.

I've assumed you are in USA - firstly you need to determine if any of the wiring is present - which used to be there on North America cars, but they seem to have stopped a few years ago.

Under the trunk floor covering (at the back near the seats is a black plastic cover that covers all the control modules). That is where the phone controller etc will be, and wiring just sat there not connected.

Have a look in there and tell us what you see (take a photo and post?)

Cheers

Richard
