I have an audio 10 cassette system with a multi disc changer in the the glovebox. I have just purchased an audio 20 system with glass front which is found in later models.
Do the systems just swap over? |

Sadly they are very very different. There was a major facelift done in Q2 2004.
a) They are a different size b) Even if you swopped the facia bits in your car, they are not compatible with the older phone or CD changer or BOSE sound system (if you have those) so you would need a new CD changer in your case and wiring between Audio-20 and CDC. c) Power wiring is different, although an adapter is available d) The instrument cluster (and thus steering wheel controls) talk differently to the unit so you wouldn't get that working without putting a newer cluster in. There are a few people who have spent the money changing all the above bits to the newer model version, normally to fit the newer sat nav system rather than just an Audio-20. Sorry to be bearer of bad news... Richard |

I made this change to my car and it was "fun" to say the least.
