Ring order is not actually important, as long as actual and configured are the same (and even if they are different, I haven't seen any repeatable problem!)
All the dealer needs to do is
a) plug star in
b) go into the instrument cluster settings ('control unit adaptations') and turn on the Telephone (or iPod) option
- This enables the telephone menu on the cluster and the phone hangup/pick-up buttons on the steering wheel ...
They should know this, they do it when they install iPod kits in the newer models.
