Update after visit to dealer
Hi again Richard!
I have visited the dealer and their Star computer recognizes that the phone is indeed installed. The Star computer shows that the first accessory installed is the CD changer then the phone as 2nd accessory. However, the steering wheel buttons to answer and end calls still do not work. The steering wheel volume controls work on radio and telephone calls. The dealer informed me that I had to buy a new cradle with part number 203.820.04.51 at at a cost of more than US$500! I was reviewing the phone bulletins from Paul Dick's site when I got home and it says that the D2B ring configuration should be: Radio (D2B Master) then Phone (D2B component 1) then Voice Recognition (D2B component 2) then CD Changer (D2B component 3) then TeleAid (D2B component 4) then back to Radio. I don't think my car has Voice Recognition and TeleAid so the D2B ring in my case should be: Radio then Phone then CD Changer then back to Radio. Am I correct? Therefore, shouldn't the dealer's Star computer show the phone as the 1st accessory and the CD Changer as the 2nd accessory installed and not the other way around? Can this be the cause why the steering wheel buttons to answer and end a call still does not work? I hope you will still see this post and can provide an insight as to what I should do next.
Thanks in advance and Best Regards,
Xennon
