I have played with the S-Class and the ML-Class reversing control module for the camera.
Your greatest problem is that you can not sufficiently code the module since the central gateway imagines that it does not exist even when connected.
In other words, if you have some rotational correction to perform you will not be able to code the module 100%.
It will always be a little wrong. The other consideration is that there is no canbus signal in the area you are thinking of using the module. So you must extend the CAN-B wires.
It can be done but not cheaply or easily.
