Thanks Richard,

It's safe to assume that the sensible way to do this would be to book it into the dealer and have them check it out, once passed ok notify the insurance company that the airbag has been replaced.

One other question, can you tell me where the crash sensors are located on the front of this vehicle please? I definately haven't replaced those as I, wrongly it seems, believed that the airbag was actuated electronically following the seatbelt actuation.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
